Masterclass of Image Guided Radiotherapy: A First in Morocco!

The Mohammed VI International Simulation Center of Health Sciences, of Mohammed VI University of Health and Sciences is proud to host the first-of-its-kind Masterclass of Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) in Morocco. This two-day event, endorsed by ESTRO and recommended by the European School of Oncology (ESO), will take place on 16-17 January 2026.

The Masterclass is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of IGRT principles and their clinical implementation.

Participants will learn to optimize IGRT workflows based on the resources available at their institutions and gain practical knowledge to enhance the precision and accuracy of radiotherapy delivery.

Target Audience and Course Content

This Masterclass is aimed at professionals in the field of radiation oncology who are involved in target localisation. The target audience includes radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and radiation oncology residents from their fourth semester. A good understanding of target delineation, localisation, and patient set-up is a prerequisite, as is some experience in the field.

The course, which is a hybrid of online and onsite participation, will cover key aspects of IGRT, including:

  • Image guidance in treatment preparation and planning
  • Image guidance in patient set-up and target localisation during treatment
  • Image guidance for treatment prescription
  • Strategies and software tools for IGRT by site
  • Image guidance in treatment follow-up

The participation fees are : 2000 MAD

Call for Abstracts

The CIM6S is inviting researchers, clinicians, and other professionals to submit original contributions, case studies, clinical research, technological innovations, or reviews related to IGRT for presentation during the Masterclass.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Abstract Length: 300 to 500 words
  • Language: English, French, or both
  • Format: Word document
  • Submission Deadline: August 2025
